The Mano-a-Mano with Anxiety.

Anxiety, one of the most prevalent mental disorders in the U.S today affecting more than 7% anytime with a prognosis estimating 13% during the average lifespan. There exist two types of perennial anxiety, one being “ Social “ and the other being General Anxiety Disorder or ( GAD ) social anxiety derives from a fear of social situations, inability to deliver and conform to societal demands or placed on the receiving end of preconceived impressions. General Anxiety Disorder, in particular carries around 3,000,000 cases annually.

Symptoms behind (GAD) are typically excessive overthinking and gastrointestinal (GI) complications as blood is rushed from the midsection of the torso and redirected to the brain for optimum survival mode. Anxiety also manifests in the form of Obsession Compulsive Disorder or ( OCD ) which can be explained as a trapped patterned of autonomous thoughts and behavior patterns governed beyond their control.  These impulses are recurrent and driven by obsession with a particular status.

Anxiety happens to be one of our natural survival mechanisms due to our systematic limbic responses caused in relation to high intense stress settings in abstract which triggers our “ fight or flight “ response within the Amygdala, The Amygdala is an “ Almond “ shaped, inch long grouping of nuclei centered between both hemispheres of the brain. There are three neurochemicals that play roles in societal, general anxiety disorder and high stress events. Adrenaline, Cortisol and Norepinephrine, they’re released via the on and off switch directions received from the Pituitary Gland which comes through nerve signaling this is called the “ Hypothalamic Pituitary Adrenal Axis “ or ( HPA )

( GABA ) this has been observered and measured by a Electroencephalophraphy or ( EEG ) the changes observed resulted in a increase of alpha brain waves 30mins to 1/hr after a dosage of L-Theanine of 50-200mg.
